case study

Fire Integrity providing comprehensive fire protection services for the new Combe Valley Hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea, a 54-bed mental health facility under construction by Kier Construction in partnership with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Scheduled for completion in early 2025, the hospital is designed to replace outdated inpatient services and offer a modern, therapeutic environment for patients.

Our scope includes the application of intumescent coatings to structural steel elements, enhancing fire resistance and ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations. Additionally, we are installing fire stopping systems at all service penetrations and compartment interfaces to maintain building compartmentation and prevent the spread of fire and smoke. These measures are critical in safeguarding the hospital's occupants and supporting the project's overall fire safety strategy.

All fire protection works are being coordinated with the construction programme to integrate seamlessly with other trades and minimise disruption, contributing to the safe and timely delivery of this vital healthcare facility.
