case study

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel at Silverstone is a 197‑bed, six‑storey building constructed by RG Group, located alongside the starting grid and pit lane. The lower floors are constructed from concrete, while the upper levels use a lightweight steel frame with cantilevered raking steels. The building includes an undercroft/raised ground floor for commercial space, a trackside seating terrace, and an atrium connecting the two main sections.

Fire Integrity supplied and applied intumescent coatings to exposed structural steelwork and installed fire stopping at service penetrations and compartment junctions throughout the building. These measures protected structural elements and maintained compartmentation across multiple floors, including the atrium, hospitality areas, and hotel guest rooms.

All works were coordinated with the construction programme to allow safe delivery of the project while maintaining compliance with UK fire safety standards, including working around the operational requirements of Silverstone Race Circuit.
